Experience Overview

I am fortunate to have worked with creative, supportive professionals, and I am grateful for the success of the buildings we designed together. As a licensed architect, I have experience in a variety of roles form project architect/manager to roles that focus on technical documentation, construction administration, organizational structure, and business development.

My experience includes projects that range from modest to monumental, all of which are valuable to the communities they serve. Collaborating with clients whose mission aims to impact local and global communities has been rewarding.

After graduating from Yale School of Architecture, I joined the practice of Cesar Pelli and Fred Clarke where I spent approximately ten years including a period establishing and growing a studio in Shanghai, China for Pelli Clarke & Partners. The Los Angeles chapter of my career was spent primarily with Frederick Fisher & Partners. More recently, I worked with firms in Atlanta and Memphis, my hometown.

I value an iterative design process that leads to innovative solutions while exploring diverse perspectives from colleagues and clients. I aim to create spaces that connect the client’s mission to the unique characteristics of the site and evoke a sense of belonging. My design aesthetic leans toward simple forms and refined details. I appreciate a holistic approach that considers the site, exterior envelope, interior finishes, and building systems as a cohesive whole. Being mindful of project resources and the impact of construction on the natural environment is fundamental to my design approach.

Creating this portfolio has allowed me to recognize the value of my experience with gratitude. While my experience may be supportive within a design team, I embrace the opportunity to continue to grow professionally and personally.
