Giant Group Headquarters Campus
Shanghai, China
morphosis
The design for this pharmaceutical company’s campus blurs the lines between topography, architecture, and urbanism on a lakefront site. Executive suites share a structure that appears to grow out of the landscape over the lake on the east side of campus. A lifted landform punctuated with courts for informal gathering contains an auditorium, library, and amenities. Two sides of the 250,000 SM campus are connected by a pedestrian spine. My role focused on developing the campus plan and architectural forms and site circulation through diagrams and massing models that evolved into the built campus.
